The last week I have been running off of caffeine and the McDonald's dollar menu.

Many days turned into 14, 15, and on occasion 16+ hours long.

Although it was a long week, I am more than excited to be this busy. The more I am photographing, the more I am practicing. The more I am photographing, the more I am learning. But most importantly the more I am photographing, the more I am growing.

Not only growing as photographer but as a journalist as well. The ability to accomplish a great deal in a short period of time is something every journalist needs to be able to do. Tight deadlines and editing pictures in my car have become the norm.

Start with 1000+ images, edit them down to around 20, color balance / tone the images, and write cutlines. This process has now become second nature, and often is done in less than an hour. The way I approach my workflow has evolved so much in the last year that I feel like an entirely new photographer.

The photograph above was taken during one of the marathon days for the Orioles. Most of the images taken at FanFest were cut and dry images of fans interacting with players.

When I made my way over to one of the forums the production department was hard at work projecting both live footage and archived footage behind the players.

The huge screen made for an interesting background especially when their own face was shown behind them.

With all the assignments I have some catch-up to do and will hopefully be getting more blog posts up in the next few days.
