After a long day of shooting, the next morning I was up at 5:30 a.m. getting ready for another.
Assigned to a 5K run in Columbia, Md. I was told that this "Penguin Pace" was going to include people dressed in penguin costumes.
Sadly this was not the case. I was able to get the two individuals that wore interesting Penguin hats. But after waiting for the last person to cross the finish line, not a single person ran through with a costume on.
I was able to make a few nice frames capitalizing on the early morning sun and the convenient direction of the finish line. Having the runners' backs facing east meant pretty silhouettes.
Seeing that I can never resist a good silhouette I made some frames trying to showcase a little more of the environment, which was difficult because the finish line was the parking lot of the local senior center.
But all obstacles aside I came back with a good take and was happy with the results.
Until next time, take care!
