With newer and newer technology coming out it seems every month now the capabilities that cameras have is astonishing.
The above image was taken in almost complete darkness. The head coach of Howard's lacrosse team was standing well out of range of the terrible high school lighting and I was still able to grab a frame (although noisy).
Shot at 12,800 ISO this image could not have been taken with available lighting even just a few years ago.
Starting on a Canon EOS 1D classic I remember being afraid to break 800 ISO. The idea of pushing to 12,800 was not even plausible. But as we continue to move forward the tools become stronger and allow us photographers to really capitalize and push ourselves to make better images.
With the availability of high caliber cameras on everyone's cellphones, you have to create new imagery to stand out from the crowd.
Many photographers are weary of the new and innovative digital age, but we can't stop it, so why not accept it.
Until next time, take care!
