The hardest part about documentary photography is seeing an image but then having to wait for it to happen naturally.

Last homestand I took a quick shot on my iPhone from inside the clubhouse looking out the door to the dugout during a short rainstorm.

I thought it made a nice internal framing. Going off that idea I wanted to shoot the other way. A scene that few people get to see, a look inside the clubhouse from the dugout.

From that day I waited. I waited a lot. Running to shoot pregame ceremonies and back to the entrance every game.

Finally I got a nice pose as Hardy came up to entrance before the game started.

I do want to continue to hang around this area and see if I can make this image better. We will have to wait and see.
