Although baseball may seem to be the only subject matter I photograph, sometimes I enjoy changing it up.
The different environment is often refreshing and allows me to try new things.
Recently I had the great opportunity to work with an energetic young couple on their wedding day. When photographing someone's wedding, their level of enthusiasm is often half the job.
Fortunately for me, they performed incredibly.
At the site of the reception was a beautiful scene, an old barn set back through an open field. Lifting his bride off her feet and carrying her through the field created an amazing candid opportunity.
Unfortunately I was seeing this all happen while I was gathering all my lighting gear from my trunk. Literally dropping my lighting bag I ran over to the edge of the field with only a wide-angle lens. I snapped off as many frames as I could before running back to my car and gathering the rest of my equipment.
Luckily this one turned out and ended up being one of my favorite images from the entire day.
Until next time, take care!
